One of the first steps to consider after deciding to purchase a roller door is the best way to install it. The internal face fix is one of the most popular fixing types it is used to maximise the opening drive-through width of the garage. The guides are fixed to the inside face of the opening.
If there is restricted side room or if you want to maximise the internal length of the garage, reveal fixing for the guides is where the guides are fitted between the opening width.
If internal space is restricted but you still want to maximise the opening width and height, the popular external face fix installation where the guides are fitted on the outside face of the garage is a good way to achieve a clear drive-through width.

It is important to note that if you require a clear drive-through height when the roller door is open, you will need to add 90mm to the opening height (for the Classic door) or 60mm to the opening height (for the compact door), in order to take account of the overhang of the bottom rail and rubber seal when the door is open.
