The 77mm aluminium lath is manufactured from high grade twin walled aluminium with an advanced insulated foam core to reduce heat loss and sound transmission. (Maximum overall compact door width is 2600 mm).
Heavy duty aluminium end plates have a lug which fits directly into the top section of the guide for easy installation and security. 300mm for the 77mm lath door. 205mm or 250mm end plates for the 55mm lath door.
Garage door security is intrinsic for us at Roller Doors 2 You. The strong steel barrel is connected to the curtain using a patented anti-lift locking system. This prevents the door from being forced open from below. Garage door security would not be complete without deep guides. We use 70mm guides on all of the classic style lath roller doors upto 3 meters wide and 90 mm guides on doors over 3 meters wide. All our guides include brush strips to reduce draught and ensure smooth operation of the curtain. A smaller 70mm guide is available if side room is restricted. The 77mm Classic roller door is also an approved Secured by Design roller door*. Secured by Design is a nationally recognised UK Police Flagship initiative dedicated to designing out crime. It is widely recognised as an indication of security and quality. *Face fix installation. All SecureRoll 77mm lath doors include an integrated safety brake fitted to the end plate on the non-drive end of the barrel. This prevents the doors from dropping in the event of motor failure and ensures compliance with safety legislation.
Both the classic and compact syle door bottom slat is manufactured from tough extruded aluminium with a triple tube flexible rubber weather strip to minimise rain entering the garage.
High security extruded aluminium guides protect the door curtain from lateral attack and have in-built brush strips to reduce draughts and ensure smooth operation. Compact style door guide width 65 mm. Classic style door guide width 70 mm (upto 3 meters overall width). Classic style door guide width 90 mm (over 3 meters overall width).
An NRG motor with its German origin comes complete with easy to set limits. A SOMFY Motor with french origin can be specified at design stage.

This option includes two transmitters as standard and a wall mounted control panel with push buttons. If you prefer the fully automatic, one touch remote control operation you have a choice to upgrade to a SOMFY Wired Safety Edge system. – Automatic Remote Control with courtesy light, push buttons, two transmitters, built in alarm and wired Safety Edge Safety System.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve compiled a list of the most common questions we get asked below to help you in making your buying decision. Not sure what accessories you need, or if you want help with the install? Let us guide you:

If you are installing the roller door outside the opening on the outside face then you definitely need the full hood cover to cover the curtain from the outside view and protect from the elements. A full hood is also preferable if your roller door isn't very high to avoid potential entrapment when the roller door is opening regardless of position. A full hood is preferable in most cases simply to potect the curtain and keep everything neatly covered.
Insulated Roller Doors can be fitted externally when they have a full hood cover and appropriate manual releases.
All of our roller doors have an internal manual override included so that you can open the door if there is a power cut. If you have no secondory access to the garage (Eg courtesy door) We can supply an External lockable override. (See our accessories section for more details.)
To keep the door in good order therefore prolonging its life, it should be cleaned every few months to remove any grime and dirt. Use only a mild household detergent and soft cloth or sponge.
